The SAFE 10YDCO - RF is a carbon monoxide detector that boasts a timeless compact design and combines the latest hardware and software technology applied to a functional smart detector design that represents a new level of standard in residential fire safety.
The detector includes an integrated RF module, which thanks to the function CONNECTED allows you to wirelessly connect two or more FireSafe detectors to create an interconnected wireless network. In this case, if one of the devices triggers an alarm, it will send a radio signal and all other FireSafe units connected in the network will respond to the alarm.
The Hub FireSafe intelligent central control unit can be added to the wireless network. These units then allow convenient setup and control of the complex FireSafe system remotely via an intuitive free mobile app (for Android and iOS) for smartphones, tablets and more. The Hub monitors the activity of all connected sensors and FireSAFE CONNECTED devices, and in the event that a hazard is detected, it immediately notifies the system user in the form of an alarm and alarm push notifications in the FireSAFE app.
When carbon monoxide (CO) concentrations exceed the designated threshold, the SAFE 10YDCO-PRO triggers a loud 85 dB alarm accompanied by a flashing red LED to indicate a CO alert. The current CO level is displayed on the device’s blue backlit screen, providing clear, real-time information. This combination of audible and visual signalling is designed to quickly capture the attention of building occupants, enabling immediate action — whether responding to the alarm or evacuating to a safe area. The system ensures timely intervention to protect lives and prevent exposure to dangerous CO levels.
The SAFE 10YDCO-PRO features a backlit multi-function LCD that provides real-time environmental information. In alarm mode, it displays the current CO concentration in parts per million (ppm). In standby mode, the screen alternates between room temperature and humidity levels, allowing users to monitor potentially unsafe environmental conditions. Temperature readings can be displayed in either Celsius (°C) or Fahrenheit (°F) according to user preference.
If the detector is part of a fire safety system with a Hub FireSafe intelligent central control unit, the individual data (battery status, room temperature and humidity, CO alarm information) are also displayed in the free FireSafe mobile app on your mobile phone or device.
The SAFE 10YDCO-PRO’s combination of battery power and innovative housing design allows for flexible placement on any horizontal surface — no fixed wall installation is required. The detector can be positioned on shelves, bedside tables, windowsills, or other convenient locations for optimal monitoring. To ensure durability in even the most challenging environments, the device’s electronic components and circuit board are coated with IZOVAX nanoparticle paint, providing insulation and protection against humidity. This makes the detector suitable for use in areas such as bathrooms, boiler rooms, drying rooms, or spaces with gas appliances, ensuring reliable performance wherever it is placed.
The SAFE 10YDCO - RF carbon monoxide detector has a memory function for the highest measured value. The memory records information about the highest measured CO concentration even in your absence. By pressing the combined TEST/SUSPEND button, you can recall and display this information on the LCD display regarding the highest levels of measured values since the last memory reset.
If the detector detects a threshold level of carbon monoxide concentration, it will trigger an alarm to activate the alarm. In the event of an unwanted audible alarm, the alarm can be temporarily silenced by pressing the TEST/SUSPEND button or directly in the FireSafe app (the detector is added to a wireless network that includes the Hub FireSafe intelligent central control unit) for up to 9 minutes. The temporary silencing mode is signalled by the device with a red LED indicator that flashes 4 times every 5 seconds at a regularly recurring interval without an accompanying buzzer sound. If the CO concentration subsequently falls below the predetermined values, the detector automatically switches to normal operation mode.
The SAFE 10YDCO-PRO is powered by a built-in, non-replaceable 3V lithium battery, ensuring reliable operation for over 10 years. This integrated power source allows for fast, simple installation while maintaining consistent detector performance throughout its lifetime. Activation is easy — simply remove the locking clip on the back of the device. At the end of its 10-year service life, the detector provides a 30-day advance notice and automatically alerts users that replacement is required. The device and its battery are covered by an extended 10-year warranty, providing complete peace of mind and long-term reliability.
